Hank was born on July 7, 1951 in Rock Springs, Wyo. to Alfred and Betty (Duncan) Harsha. He was raised and educated in Rock Springs, graduating with the class of 1970. Following high school, Hank continued his education, studying Law at Western Wyoming College in Rock Springs. During this time, Hank married his high school sweetheart, Mary “Chris” Gaensslen. They were united in marriage on February 17, 1973 in Green River and to this union three children were born. Hank worked at a Trona Mine in Green River as a dozer and crusher operator.  He continued working for the mine until his retirement in 2011.
