Tianna Dawn Engle
Tianna Dawn Engle, age 11, of Glendive passed away on Thursday, August 3, 2017 in Glendive.
Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, August 10, 2017 at Silha Funeral Home in Glendive. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, August 11, 2017 at the United Methodist Church in Glendive with Pastor Ruth McKenzie officiating. Interment will be in Dawson Memorial Cemetery. Silha Funeral Home of Glendive has been entrusted with the arrangements.
Tianna was born on June 28, 2006 in Miles City to parents Dan and Dawn (Vincent) Engle. She was raised and educated in Glendive, and had just completed fourth grade. She was very excited to begin fifth grade this year. Tianna was active in many extracurricular activities. She earned a purple trim belt in Tae Kwon Do, and has now received distinction as an honorary junior black belt. She was a member of the Wet Devils Swim Team, Awana and 4-H. She liked to sew and do crafts, was an excellent artist who loved to draw, and was very fashionable. She would mix and match clothes to make her own style. She had a great appreciation for music; her favorite artists were TobyMac and MercyMe.
Tianna loved being a big sister to Tori, especially playing My Little Pony and Pet Shops with her. Tianna also adored being an aunt. She loved all animals, dogs in particular, and dreamed of owning a doggie hotel when she grew up. She was already practicing with her own dog, Bella.
Tianna was preceded in death by her paternal grandmother Sherry Phaff; her maternal grandfather Dale Vincent; her great-grandparents Verlin “Red” and Charolette Vincent, Fred and Joyce Phaff, and great-grandfather Donnie Jones; and her Uncle Morne Eksteen.
Tianna is survived by her parents Dan and Dawn Engle of Glendive; her sister and best friend Tori Engle; her brother Lonnie (Brett) Smith of Glendive; her nephew Kayson Smith; her niece Kaizley Smith; her maternal grandmother Donna Jones of Greeley, Colo.; her paternal grandparents Warren and Lianne Engle of Glendive; her maternal great-grandmother Joyce Jones of Fort Peck, Mont.; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and classmates. She will be especially missed by Bella.
