Have you heard the good news?
In Mark 16:15 Jesus said to His disciples, “Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation.
Have you heard the good news?
The apostle Paul wrote “I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile. For in the gospel a righteousness from God is revealed, a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, just as it is written: “The righteous will live by faith.””
Do you know how to be saved?
Paul also cautioned us to beware of other gospels: Galatians 1:6 I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting the one who called you by the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel — 7 which is really no gospel at all. Evidently some people are throwing you into confusion and are trying to pervert the gospel of Christ. 8 But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let him be eternally condemned! 9 As we have already said, so now I say again: If anybody is preaching to you a gospel other than what you accepted, let him be eternally condemned!
Note: There are “different” gospels, perversions of the true gospel. Those who teach a gospel different than what the apostles taught are accursed! Is the gospel you heard the true gospel of Christ?
According to Peter the gospel must be obeyed: 1 Peter 4:17 For it is time for judgment to begin with the family of God; and if it begins with us, what will the outcome be for those who do not obey the gospel of God?
Those who do not obey the gospel will receive everlasting destruction: 2 Thessalonians 1:7 and give relief to you who are troubled, and to us as well. This will happen when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven in blazing fire with his powerful angels. 8 He will punish those who do not know God and do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus. 9 They will be punished with everlasting destruction and shut out from the presence of the Lord and from the majesty of his power
Paul began and ended the letter to the Romans with a call to obedience: Romans 1:5 Through him and for his name’s sake, we received grace and apostleship to call people from among all the Gentiles to the obedience that comes from faith. Romans 16:26 but now revealed and made known through the prophetic writings by the command of the eternal God, so that all nations might believe and obey him — 27 to the only wise God be glory forever through Jesus Christ! Amen.

4. He is coming again, as promised, to judge the world: Acts 1:9

3. The gift of eternal life, both as a future hope and a present reality - Romans 6:22; 1 John 5:11

We can never merit or “earn” salvation but we can trust Jesus and His apostles when we make a decision to obey Him.
