A four-run fourth inning carried the Dickinson Midgets to a 6-1 victory over the Lady Red Devils last Thursday in Dickinson. The DCHS girls had pulled within one at 2-1 with a run in the third but a bases load triple in the 4th by the Midgets’ Avery Privratsky led to the big inning.
Dickinson scored a run in the bottom of the first and then added another in the second before Glendive got its run in the third. Aspen Gibbs doubled in the third then came in to score on an RBI single by Wyniah Mintz for the Lady Devils only run of the contest.
The Lady Red Devils and the Lady Midgets had four hits each in the ballgame. DCHS committed just one error while Dickinson had two miscues. Sarah Temple did the pitching for Glendive and suffered the lost. Haley Butterfield was the winning pitcher for the Midgets.
Lexi Pettersen was 2-3 at the plate for the Devils. Mintz was 1-3 with the RBI. Gibbs was 1-3 with the double and run scored.
Dickinson High School has an overall record of 18-2 with 11 seniors on the squad.
